A synthetic drug lab inside a residential building in Montreal's Griffintown neighbourhood led to two arrests Wednesday in a large-scale dismantlement operation involving Montreal police (SPVM), provincial police, and first responders.
During the operation, residents on two floors of the building were evacuated as a precaution, and the building's underground parking was closed. Authorities also closed Shannon Street south of Wellington Street and Smith Street east of Peel Street, advising motorists and cyclists to avoid the area. The operation was expected to last several hours or extend into Thursday.
