Montreal police are asking for the public's help identifying three men connected to a controversial mock execution during a labour demonstration on May 2.

The incident took place around 2:30 p.m. at Place des Festivals in the Quartier des Spectacles during International Workers' Day activities. Police say demonstrators staged a guillotine execution of a puppet representing Quebec Labour Minister Jean Boulet.

The first suspect, described as a man in his 30s, allegedly severed the puppet's head. He wore a brown-beige coat, black hoodie with a wolf's head design, black pants, black toque with red lettering, and dark shoes.

The second person, possibly in his 40s, allegedly kicked the severed head afterward. He wore a black-and-red cap with a diamond insignia, denim jacket, orange shirt, beige pants, dark boots, and black sunglasses. Investigators noted he appeared to be carrying a tool resembling a drill handle.

The third suspect, around 30 years old with dark hair and a mustache, also allegedly kicked the head. He wore a dark coat, black-and-white sweater with a red collar, and black pants with white stripes near the bottom.

Police are asking anyone with photos, video, or information to contact 911, their local station, or Info-Crime Montréal at 514-393-1133 or online.
