STM monthly pass holders will pay more starting July 1 when a 3 percent fare increase takes effect across Greater Montreal's transit network.

Regular monthly pass prices are rising by a flat $5.50, regardless of which zone you're in. Reduced fares jump $3.25. Single and two-ride fares remain unchanged—the increase lands entirely on monthly pass users.

Here's what each regular monthly pass will cost starting Friday: - Tous modes A (island of Montreal): $110.00 - Tous modes AB (Montreal, Laval, Longueuil agglomeration): $170.00 - Tous modes ABC: $206.00 - Tous modes ABCD (areas outside ARTM territory): $281.00

The Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain says the increase aligns with the minimum indexation rate set out under its 2025-2028 funding agreement with the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal and the Quebec government.

"We are fully aware of the impact that the annual indexation represents in a context where the cost of living is putting significant pressure on households," said ARTM director general Benoît Gendron.

One other change: transitional REM fares for the South Shore corridor are being phased out, replaced by standard Tous modes options.
