Man in his 40s killed in motorcycle crash near Osgoode
A motorcycle and vehicle collided Friday evening at Cabin and Blanchfield roads just west of Stagecoach Road. A woman was transported to hospital in critical condition.

A man in his 40s, believed to be the motorcycle rider, was declared dead at the scene of a collision Friday, September 18, just before 5:45 p.m. near the intersection of Cabin and Blanchfield roads, just west of Stagecoach Road in Osgoode.
A woman in her 60s was transported to a hospital trauma centre in critical condition. The second vehicle involved came to rest on its roof. Ottawa Fire Services extricated one individual from that vehicle within minutes after being called to the scene by Ottawa Police Service.
This marks another fatal collision in the region during a deadly stretch. As HighOnCity reported in September, a motorcyclist died after colliding with a trailer near Spencerville on August 29, and a child was killed in a two-vehicle crash in rural Ottawa on June 29. Three fatal collisions across eastern Ontario since July 31 have resulted in six deaths.
The Ottawa Paramedic Service provided information on the victims' conditions. Police have not disclosed the identity of the man declared dead or the current condition and prognosis of the woman transported to hospital.
