A 21-year-old woman died Friday after her motorcycle collided with a dark-coloured SUV at the intersection of West Hunt Club and Merivale roads in south-end Ottawa. The collision occurred at 5:56 a.m., and the vehicle that struck her left the scene before police arrived.
Emergency crews responded, and the woman was taken to hospital where she died of her injuries. Police believe the SUV may have visible damage to its front bumper and right side.
The Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Investigation Unit is seeking dashcam footage, surveillance video, doorbell camera footage, and any other video from residents, motorists, and businesses in the area around the intersection.
