Ottawa police seek public help identifying suspects in armed robbery and theft fraud

Ottawa Police are asking the public to identify a suspect in an armed robbery and two suspects in a separate theft and fraud investigation involving fraudulent credit card use across the city.
The robbery occurred June 7, 2026, at approximately 11:11 a.m. in a retail business in the 1300 block of Carling Avenue. The suspect entered the store, took several items, and placed them into a reusable bag. When staff attempted to intervene, the suspect pulled out a weapon and threatened them, then fled on foot.
Police describe the suspect as a man approximately 30 years old with dirty reddish-brown hair and beard. He was wearing prescription glasses and a dark-coloured jacket at the time of the incident.
In a separate incident on the afternoon of July 17, 2026, two suspects entered a business in the 1300 block of Wellington Street West and stole a victim's purse. The suspects then made several fraudulent transactions with stolen credit cards throughout Ottawa.
