The City of Ottawa is providing multiple options for residents to dispose of storm-related waste and debris from the July 1 extreme weather event.
The Trail Waste Facility Landfill will be open Saturday, July 25 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to receive storm-related waste and debris. Residents whose properties were affected by the storm and who have submitted a City service request for flooded basement or storm-related waste may dispose of eligible materials free of charge. Residents should bring their service request number, valid photo identification, and proof of address. Those who already paid disposal fees at the facility between July 2 and 14 for storm-related waste may be eligible for reimbursement.
Household Hazardous Waste drop-off events are scheduled for Saturday, July 25 at Kanata Research Park (373 Leggett Drive) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, August 8 at Innes Snow Dump (2170 Mer Bleue Road) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Electronic waste can be dropped off free of charge at the Trail Road Facility Landfill or at drop-off events on Saturday, July 25 at Redeemer Alliance Church (4825 Innes Road) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, August 15 at Bob MacQuarrie Recreation Complex in Orléans (1490 Youville Drive) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
