A man allegedly involved in a Vancouver-based organized crime group has been added to the FBI's Most Wanted list for drug trafficking.
Amritpal Singh, 30, was charged in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles on June 23 after federal prosecutors say he participated in moving bulk quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine. Singh is described as 5'9" and 135 pounds with black hair. The FBI is asking anyone with information to contact them.
The Ravinder Dhanda Organized Crime Group, which Singh is alleged to have been part of, smuggled drugs for organizations across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Ravinder Singh Dhanda of Vancouver, Jaskarn Baghri of Surrey, Gurtej Singh Smagh of Creston, and eight other defendants transported, smuggled, and distributed hundreds of kilograms of illicit substances weekly from the U.S. into Canada. All 11 defendants were named in an eight-count indictment on June 23.
