Health Canada announced Thursday an urgent recall for the Super Off-Road 12,000 mAh Solar Wireless Power Bank due to a fire hazard. The lithium-ion battery cell in the portable wireless charger may overheat and swell, posing a fire risk.

The recalled model number is T1037 — a black rugged power bank measuring approximately 8.6 centimetres wide and 16.5 centimetres long, capable of wireless charging. About 4,964 units were sold in Canada between January 2019 and December 2023.

As of June 23, 2026, Health Canada and Spector and Co., the Quebec-based importer, have received no reported incidents or injuries in Canada. The U.S. has reported one case of two swollen batteries with no injuries.

If you own one, stop using it immediately. Register for a refund and disposal instructions on the Spector and Co. website or email recall@spectorandco.com. The recall is joint action with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, and Spector and Co.
