Helicopter crash kills four near Montreal; victims identified by loved ones

A helicopter caught fire on Saturday, September 26, around 2:30 p.m. near Sainte-Brigide-d'Iberville in the Montérégie region, approximately 50 kilometres southeast of Montreal, killing all four people aboard.
The victims were identified Sunday through social media tributes from family and friends. Gabriel Jasmin, a host at 106.1 Énergie, a Sherbrooke-based radio station, was a passenger. He had a daughter with Océane Perreault, whose mother Chantal Raymond and brother Loucas Perreault were also on board. The flight had been chartered to celebrate Raymond's birthday. Pilot Suzanne Jutras, 50, was also killed. Jutras's husband, Yves Boulais, is a field crop farmer and former dairy farmer in the region.
Océane Perreault posted on Facebook: "On Sept. 26, a part of my world flew away to heaven. I don't have the words to describe the pain, the shock, and the emptiness I feel. Three people I love more than anything were taken from me far too soon, right before my eyes."
The Sûreté du Québec, the provincial police service, has launched an investigation into the crash. Transportation Safety Board investigators were on site Saturday.
