Metrolinx is officially extending GO Train service to Stratford on Monday, July 6, 2026, connecting the popular Ontario theatre destination to Toronto's regional network.

The new Stratford GO Station on the Kitchener Line will operate year-round with express service. Morning commuters can catch an express train departing Stratford at 6:16 a.m., arriving at Union Station at 8:47 a.m. An afternoon express departs Union Station at 4:52 p.m., arriving in Stratford at 7:28 p.m. Both trains make stops along the way in Kitchener, Guelph, Acton, Georgetown, Mount Pleasant, Brampton and Bramalea.

Weekend service mirrors the weekday schedule: an express departs Union Station at 8:49 a.m., arriving at Stratford at 11:16 a.m., and departs Stratford at 6:16 p.m., arriving back at Union Station at 8:45 p.m.

The expansion brings Stratford into Toronto's commuter sphere while boosting tourism to the region. Metrolinx has published the full schedule on its website.
