The Post-Nup Pub is opening soon on Yonge Street near Eglinton, taking over the space that housed the Duke of Kent for nearly 50 years. Owner Atef Girgis, who also ran the beloved-but-defunct Prenup Pub and Village Idiot, is bringing a second coming of the Prenup brand with his latest project.

The pub's mounted sign has already drawn attention—and cheeky commentary from local Reddit users. The sign alludes to the famous Manneken Pis statue in Brussels, a fitting reference given that the original Prenup was known for its Belgian beer selection.

Girgis is leaning into the humour. The name itself is a playful callback to Prenup's folding, and early signage suggests he's not taking himself too seriously. The space is at 2315 Yonge St., and while there's no word yet on official opening hours, the pub is expected to welcome guests soon. For now, the Post-Nup's Belgian beer lineup remains the most concrete detail—and likely the most serious one.
