Tous Les Jours opens first Canadian location at North York H Mart this week

Tous Les Jours, a South Korean bakery chain with over 1,700 locations worldwide, is opening its first Toronto location—and first in Canada—on Thursday, September 17, at H Mart's new store at 5803 Yonge Street, near Cummer Avenue, in North York.

Founded in 1996, Tous Les Jours became one of the most recognizable bakery chains in South Korea and beyond, with operations across Asia and the United States. The chain made its first North American foray in 2004 but had never entered Canada until now. The Toronto location marks a significant expansion of its presence on the continent.

At the bakery, customers can expect French- and Korean-inspired baked goods: flaky croissants filled with cream and fruit, savoury croquettes, Mont Blancs, sausage pastries, along with sandwiches, coffee drinks and picture-perfect cakes. The concept fits naturally into a Toronto food scene that already includes Korean bakeries like Kream and Paris Baguette—though as the saying goes, there's always room for one more.

The timing coincides with H Mart's own grand opening at the Yonge-Cummer location on Thursday. The two openings represent a larger wave of Korean brands expanding into Toronto.
