Toronto's World Cup watch parties are drawing massive crowds as fans seek affordable alternatives to pricey stadium tickets. The city's official FIFA Fan Festival at Fort York National Historic Site and The Bentway continues this week, opening Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. for screenings of England vs. Croatia at 4:00 p.m. and Ghana vs. Panama at 7:00 p.m.

Admission is free but requires advance ticket reservation through Ticketmaster. Premium packages offering private viewing areas, lounge access and expedited entry are also available.

Across the GTA, venues are offering full tournament coverage. Canada Soccer House Toronto at Harbourfront Centre will screen Canada vs. Qatar on Thursday, June 18 at 6 p.m. The adidas Home of Soccer at STACKT Market features a massive 13.5-foot by 24-foot outdoor screen showing every match, open daily except Mondays. Pride House Toronto at George Brown College Waterfront Campus screens every match, with Canada vs. Qatar Thursday at 6 p.m., though capacity is limited and entry is first-come, first-served.

The University of Toronto's St. George campus will host outdoor screenings of Canada's first three group-stage matches on King's College Circle on June 18 at 6 p.m., June 24 at 3 p.m., and June 27 (time TBD). In the suburbs, Ajax will screen all Canada matches at Pat Bayly Square, and Mississauga is planning one of the region's largest viewing experiences at Celebration Square with 59 matches across 23 days.

The festival will also feature live performances from artists including Shawn Desman, Walk Off the Earth, and Shad, alongside food vendors, public art installations and family-friendly activities.
