What's open and closed on Canada Day across the GTA

Canada Day falls midweek this year, but there's plenty happening across Toronto — from attractions to the annual fireworks show over Ashbridges Bay on Wednesday, July 1.
MAJOR ATTRACTIONS OPEN Canada's Wonderland opens 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Splash Works runs 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Casa Loma is open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The CN Tower operates 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Hockey Hall of Fame opens at 9 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. Ontario Science Centre at Harbourfront Centre is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Ripley's Aquarium stays open late, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. The ROM is 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., while the AGO opens 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Toronto Zoo runs 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Riverdale Farm opens 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
BEER, LIQUOR, AND GROCERIES Select Beer Store locations open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. LCBO stores are closed. Some grocery locations remain open, including Rabba Fine Foods, Eataly, and Pusateris — check locally. Some Shoppers Drug Mart and Rexall locations are open; call ahead for hours.
TRANSIT AND MALLS The TTC runs a holiday schedule. GO Transit operates on a Saturday schedule. Most major malls are open with reduced hours: Eaton Centre (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.), Square One (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.), Vaughan Mills (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.). Yorkdale, Scarborough Town Centre, Sherway Gardens, and Dufferin Mall are closed.
OTHER SERVICES Banks and government offices are closed. No mail delivery. Toronto Public Library branches are closed.
