Toronto is buzzing this weekend with FIFA World Cup events, and there are multiple ways to join in — whether you're planning to watch from a venue or catch the energy from watch parties scattered across the city.
At Pizza Rustica (37 Blue Jays Way, Unit 1400), a Canada vs Bosnia & Herzegovina watch party runs Friday, June 12 from 2 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Giant screens, food and drink specials, and VIP bottle service are available. Tickets are $20 plus fees per person, with a two-for-one deal on Eventbrite.
Fans are also gathering at the FIFA Fan Festival in Fort York, which was cut short Thursday due to rain but will resume.
To help fans keep their voices ready for all the cheering, Ricola is giving away free samples outside Toronto Stadium two to three hours before each of the six home games scheduled from June 12 to July 2. The drops come in multiple flavours — lemon mint, berry medley, and the original herb — all made with Swiss Alpine herbs. Some samples will match the colours of participating countries' flags.
For travel inspiration, the Korea Tourism Organization is running a "Ride to Korea" campaign with a fully branded LED truck travelling across Toronto landmarks like the CN Tower, Casa Loma, and Sankofa Square through July 9.
