A man in his 60s suffered critical injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Brampton early Saturday morning. The collision occurred in the area of Castlemore Road and McVean Drive just after midnight. Investigators say it appears one vehicle may have run a red light and struck the second vehicle.

The man in the struck vehicle was taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. A female passenger, believed to be in her 50s or 60s, was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was transported with non-life-threatening injuries. No charges have been laid but police say the investigation is continuing.
