A 31-year-old Toronto man has been arrested and charged in connection with a sexual assault in Markham. Anh Tuan Le was taken into custody on August 14 and faces charges of sexual assault and criminal harassment.
According to Toronto police, a person was walking in an alleyway near Steeles Avenue East and Warden Avenue just before 3 a.m. on August 1 when they were approached from behind by an unknown man, pushed to the ground, and sexually assaulted. The suspect then fled toward Warden Avenue.
Investigators have released Le's photograph as they believe there may be other victims and are urging anyone with information to contact them. The assault is one of several sexual offences being investigated by Toronto police in the region.
