A 21-year-old Toronto man has been arrested and charged with sexual assault, pointing a firearm, and voyeurism after allegedly assaulting a victim at gunpoint and recording the crime.
Toronto police said Devon Plooard was taken into custody on August 10 and charged with multiple offences. According to police, Plooard was with the victim in May 2026 and sexually assaulted them after producing a firearm and pointing it at them. The victim later discovered that Plooard had recorded the assault.
The assault was reported on August 8 in the Gerrard Street East and Coxwell Avenue area, though it allegedly occurred months earlier. Plooard appeared in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on August 10. The bail hearing outcome and his next court date have not been disclosed.
