Toronto police have charged two men in connection with a death in North York on Sunday morning.

Erik Safar, 32, was struck by a vehicle during a group fight near Keele Street and Wilson Avenue around 6 a.m. He was later pronounced dead.

The brawl broke out after an argument in the area, according to Duty Inspector Scott Bradbury. Another person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A light-coloured vehicle was seen fleeing the scene.

On Tuesday, a 23-year-old from Toronto and an 18-year-old from Hamilton turned themselves in. Both are being charged with second-degree murder and were scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on Tuesday morning.

This is the city's 14th homicide of the year. Toronto police ask anyone with information to contact them.
