Costco Canada has issued a voluntary recall of Kirkland Signature Women 50+ multivitamin and mineral tablets due to the potential presence of loose metal pieces in pill bottles, the company announced this week.

The recall affects only bottles with lot number 5J46568W7 and an expiration date of February 2028 printed on the neck of the bottle. The affected product was sold online and at Costco warehouses between February and May 2026. No other lot numbers have been impacted.

Canadian manufacturer Vita Health Products initiated the recall out of an abundance of caution. Health Canada has categorized it as a Type Two designation, meaning exposure to the product could cause temporary adverse health effects. Customers are urged not to consume, serve, use, sell, or distribute the recalled product.

If you purchased the affected multivitamins, you can return the bottle to any Costco warehouse for a full refund. No receipt is required. For more information, customers can contact Vita Health Customer Service at 1-877-637-7557 or vitacs@vitahealth.ca. Costco has had several ongoing recalls in recent months, including shampoo and conditioner products and a frozen pizza kit.
