F1 Grand Prix in Montreal Gets Amex Member Perks
Exclusive trackside lounges, custom experiences, and Maison Amex in Montreal available for cardholders May 21–24.
Toronto's not hosting Formula 1 this year, but American Express is making it easier for Torontonians to catch the Lenovo Grand Prix du Canada in Montreal this May 21–24. If you're holding an Amex card, the perks are worth the drive or flight.
Eligible Cardmembers get access to the Amex Trackside Lounge, offering premium views of the starting grid and podium. You'll get live commentary from F1 and F1 Academy on Amex Race radios throughout the weekend, keeping you plugged into what's happening on the track in real time.
The Amex Racing Club is where fans can play mini games, customize accessories, and grab photos at cool backdrops. There's also a Recovery Room—air-conditioned and quieter—where you can cool down between sessions without missing the action.
Maison Amex is the big draw for serious fans. Located at 2114 rue de la Montagne in downtown Montreal, it's a bespoke lounge open to eligible cardmembers from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. May 21–24. Chef Danny Smiles has created a curated menu of refined dishes—think high-end casual dining, not track food.
Platinum cardmembers flying from Montreal-Trudeau International Airport to Toronto or elsewhere get access to the Aspire Amex Lounge at the airport, adding another layer of comfort to the trip.
The Grand Prix draws serious motorsports fans and a party atmosphere unique to Formula 1. If you're considering the drive or flight from Toronto, having Amex membership smooths the experience and puts you closer to the action. Tickets for the race itself sell separately—these perks enhance what you've already booked.
