Free Subway Rides Home After Summer Rogers Stadium Shows
Partnership returns: concert-goers can ride the TTC for free from three Line 1 stations all summer long.
Concert-goers at Rogers Stadium will have a free ride home on the TTC all summer long—part of a partnership between the City of Toronto and Live Nation that's returning ahead of a summer music lineup that kicks off with Bruno Mars this weekend.
Mayor Olivia Chow announced the program Thursday, emphasizing transit as the fastest and most affordable way for fans to get to and from shows. Riders who show their concert ticket to TTC staff at Shepherd West, Downsview Park, or Wilson stations will receive free passage on Line 1 starting 30 minutes before each show ends.
Live Nation is sponsoring the free service across all summer shows, a significant commitment that reflects the mutual benefit of getting concert-goers to venues safely and keeping downtown gridlocked roads clear. The TTC is also adding extra subway service and deploying additional staff to help crowds move smoothly through stations—a crucial consideration given the scale of summer events at the North York venue.
The festival atmosphere created by Rogers Stadium's summer schedule—featuring Post Malone, BTS, Foo Fighters, and Guns N' Roses alongside Bruno Mars—will draw tens of thousands of music fans into the city.
