Thousands of soccer fans are gathering in Toronto on Saturday for a FIFA World Cup match between Germany and Ivory Coast.
Germany supporters are expected to march by Toronto's waterfront to BMO Field, a soccer tradition before major international games. Many Ivory Coast fans are also heading to the temporarily rebranded stadium, wearing their team's orange jerseys.
Both teams come in with momentum. Ivory Coast opened the tournament with a 1-0 win over Ecuador. Germany routed Curaçao 7-1 in its first match. Ivory Coast striker Elye Wahi, 23, arrived in Toronto after being cleared to enter Canada. He had faced uncertainty over his availability because he is under investigation in France for alleged betting-related offences.
