The new service includes one daily round trip, with weekday departures geared toward commuters and weekend scheduling designed for day trips. On weekends, the morning train departs Union Station for Stratford, with an evening return trip. One-way tickets cost $25 per person, or riders can use GO Transit's $10 one-day weekend pass for unlimited travel.

Stratford is known for its world-renowned theatre scene with the Stratford Festival running spring through fall, as well as museums, galleries, boutique shopping, and riverside parks. The train station sits close to the town centre, making it convenient for visitors to reach attractions and restaurants without a car.
