Metrolinx says customers should expect GO train delays and cancellations due to "crew restraint" across the rail line Saturday afternoon and evening, July 11.

About 20 GO trips were cancelled as of about 4:15 p.m., according to Metrolinx's website. The cancellations include several trips on the Lakeshore East and Lakeshore West lines, as well as on the Barrie and Stouffville lines.

In a news release, Metrolinx urged customers to check their service updates page when planning their trip. Information about alternative routes can also be found on that page. GO shuttle buses are an option for those affected by the Barrie line cancellations, stopping at Rutherford GO Station and heading to Union Station Bus Terminal. Those travelling from the Downsview Park GO to downtown should take the TTC instead, as well as anyone travelling from Union to Kenney, Agincourt or Milliken stations. Metrolinx did not say what is causing the crew restraints but thanked customers for their patience during the disruptions.
