Toronto is about to get scorching. Temperatures will climb steadily from this weekend through early July, with humidity making conditions feel dangerously hot.

According to The Weather Network's 14-day forecast, it will feel like 28°C on Saturday, June 27, and 30°C on Sunday, June 28. By Monday, June 29, a daytime high of 27°C will feel closer to 30°C with humidity.

Temperatures will continue rising Tuesday, June 30, when conditions will feel like 33°C. On Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1, partly sunny conditions are expected with a low chance of afternoon showers; the daytime high of 27°C will feel closer to 36°C with the humidity.

The peak arrives Thursday, July 2, when the daytime high of 30°C will feel like a sizzling 38°C. That scorching day will coincide with a FIFA World Cup round of 32 match at Toronto Stadium, though the tournament kickoff at 7 p.m. should bring slightly more tolerable temperatures. Heat will remain elevated Friday, July 3, when a daytime high of 27°C will feel closer to 34°C.

If you're heading out during the heat wave, pack sunscreen, wear breathable clothing, and stay extra hydrated.
