A procession will bring Toronto Const. Marc Pinizzotto to a funeral home in Thornhill on Sunday, June 14 at 3 p.m., honoring the 43-year-old officer killed in the line of duty June 11.

Pinizzotto was fatally shot at an apartment building on Martha Eaton Way while investigating multiple shootings, including one at the U.S. Consulate in March. Police say 19-year-old Nicholas Bennett, who was shot multiple times in the exchange of gunfire, is charged with first-degree murder. A second suspect, 19-year-old Zara Jabbi, remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous.

The motorcade will leave the Office of the Chief Coroner at 3 p.m. Officials ask anyone planning to attend to avoid obstructing traffic or stopping on roads. The Ontario Provincial Police will livestream the procession on their YouTube channel.

A book of condolences is available at Toronto police headquarters on College Street, as well as at 23 Division (5230 Finch Avenue West) and 33 Division (50 Upjohn Road), until June 26. An online condolences book is available at www.tps.ca/marc-pinizzotto. Tributes have poured in from Prime Minister Mark Carney, Ontario Premier Doug Ford, and other officials.
