Woman wanted on Canada-wide warrant arrested in Calgary for 2024 Richmond Hill homicide

York Regional Police confirmed Wednesday that Katherine Bergeron-Pinzarrone, 27, of Mississauga, was arrested July 9 in Calgary by the Calgary Police Service on a Canada-wide warrant in connection with a 2024 homicide in Richmond Hill.
Bergeron-Pinzarrone is charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 16-year-old male from Montreal. The case dates to August 8, 2024, when officers were called to a local hospital around 6 a.m. after a stabbing victim arrived with life-threatening injuries. The teen was pronounced dead shortly after. Police also identified two male suspects—Lensly Francois, 31, of Saint-Hubert, Que., and William Gallant, 26, of Quebec City—as linked to the homicide and to an alleged auto theft ring.
YRP partnered with the BOLO Program and Calgary Police Service to locate Bergeron-Pinzarrone as investigators tracked her movements across Canada. Deputy Chief Ryan Hogan praised the collaboration. "Through the dedicated work of our Homicide Unit and our partnership with the BOLO Program and the Calgary Police Service, the suspect in this homicide investigation has been located and arrested," he said. "This arrest marks an important step in seeking justice for the victim and his family."
