Toronto police located what appear to be human remains in Scarborough on Sunday, August 16, shortly before 6 p.m. in the area of Ellesmere Road and Markham Road.
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious incident and discovered the remains upon arrival. Toronto Fire and Toronto paramedics also attended the scene shortly after 6 p.m. Paramedics did not transport anyone.
Toronto Police Service spokesperson Stephanie Miceli said the investigation is ongoing with no further information available at this time. If the incident is determined to be criminal in nature, Toronto police said they will provide additional details.
