One person was killed and another injured in a shooting in Scarborough on Monday, July 6, police say.
Toronto police responded to Victoria Park Avenue south of Highway 401 around 3:15 p.m. after reports of gunshots. One person was found with gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim was located at Victoria Park and Sheppard Avenue and was taken to hospital by emergency services. The severity of their injuries is unknown.
No suspect information has been released. The investigation is ongoing.
