One person was killed and another injured in a shooting in Toronto's east end Monday afternoon, prompting a homicide investigation.
Toronto police responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Victoria Park Avenue and Highway 401 around 3:20 p.m. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim was found in the area of Victoria Park Avenue and Sheppard Avenue E. and was transported to hospital.
Police have notified the homicide unit. No details about the victims or suspects have been released.
