Thunderstorms will move into Toronto on Thursday, June 25 and linger through the evening, bringing wet conditions and temperatures around 19°C—well below the seasonal average.

Environment Canada warns of morning showers that could develop into afternoon thunderstorms. The unsettled weather may disrupt outdoor activities and affect commutes. The FIFA Fan Festival, which has already faced multiple cancellations and delays due to inclement weather, could be affected again.

The outlook improves significantly for Pride weekend. Conditions will turn dry with temperatures closer to the seasonal norm of 26°C. Sunday, June 28, when the annual Pride Parade winds through downtown, is forecast to bring a high of 26°C with a mix of sun and cloud. Only a slight chance of rain is expected, with any precipitation arriving overnight after festivities conclude.

Looking ahead to next week, temperatures will climb significantly, with highs above 30°C expected to settle over the city. Rain remains in the forecast on several days, so those planning outdoor Canada Day celebrations should keep an umbrella nearby.
