Emergency crews responded to a residential fire in Toronto's east end early Saturday morning near Gerrard Street East and Jones Avenue, with residents safely out before firefighters arrived.
The fire was reported shortly before 8 a.m. Residents self-evacuated the home before crews reached the scene, which displayed heavy smoke inside when firefighters arrived.
