Kaden Charles-Robinson, 21, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with multiple offences related to the sexual exploitation of minors after police allege he used Snapchat and Instagram to lure and assault young victims.
One victim was lured via Snapchat on June 5 using the account "K_Charles55", according to the charges. A second victim was contacted through Instagram in April 2024 using the account "@k_charles789". Both victims were met in person and allegedly sexually assaulted, police say. In the second case, near Evans and Kipling Avenues, the victim reported that a firearm was allegedly put to their stomach before they fled.
Charles-Robinson faces charges including sexual assault with a weapon, sexual interference with a person under 16, possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material, extortion, and use of an imitation firearm during the commission of an indictable offence, along with numerous telecommunications and exploitation charges.
Police believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information to contact Toronto Police Service. The charges have not been tested in court. This case comes as the Ontario Provincial Police warned parents this year that predators are using social media, gaming platforms and AI to target children.
