Toronto police are searching for a man who stabbed a TTC electrical worker in an unprovoked attack near Yonge and Bloor streets on August 15, just after 8 a.m.
The worker was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries and has since been released to recover at home, according to TTC CEO Mandeep Lali. The transit agency confirmed the man was on a break when he was approached from behind and stabbed.
Police describe the suspect as five-foot-eight to five-foot-ten with a medium build and a full beard. He was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt, blue vest, light grey pants with side pockets, brown leather shoes with mustard-coloured laces, and a backwards black baseball cap with white lettering.
This follows a separate stabbing investigation the service was already conducting from Friday night. Anyone with information about the Yonge and Bloor incident is asked to contact Toronto police.
