Two Toronto residents charged with first-degree murder in Vaughan homicide

Two Toronto residents have been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Deuvane Donald Francis, whose body was discovered on a commercial property near Langstaff Road and Jane Street in Vaughan on August 27, 2025.
Daniel Fearon, 40, was arrested on September 22, and Sherrie Donovan, 41, was arrested the following day. Investigators determined Francis died on August 26, 2025. Donovan has been charged with first-degree murder; charges against Donovan beyond that have not been specified in available sources.
Fearon faces additional charges including possession for purpose of trafficking cocaine, ketamine, and methamphetamine; unauthorized possession and storage of prohibited and non-restricted firearms; possession of prohibited devices; and unauthorized possession of ammunition. A search warrant executed at a residence in the Niagara Region seized more than 900 grams of cocaine, over 200 grams of ketamine, more than 20 grams of methamphetamine, and nine firearms—six prohibited and three non-restricted.
