Mello doughnuts is opening a new location in Vancouver's West End at 1428 Robson Street, marking a significant expansion of the popular shop's dine-in offerings.

The 2,500-sq-ft space in a new building will feature a dining room where customers can enjoy more than just the brioche doughnuts the shop is known for. "While donuts will always remain at the heart of Mello, we'll also have a larger space where customers can enjoy more dine-in options, along with an expanded selection of desserts and drinks," a Mello spokesperson said.

Mello originally opened in 2019 in Chinatown, followed by a second location on Arbutus Street that closed in 2025 due to an incoming development. The company has long wanted to return to the area near its former Arbutus location. "When the opportunity on Robson Street came up, we felt it was the right fit and decided to move forward," the spokesperson explained. Mello also opened a location at the Time Out Market in Oakridge Centre earlier this year. The new location is still under renovation with no opening date yet announced. Mello's brioche doughnuts gained national attention when Yelp named them Canada's best doughnuts in 2023.
