Michael Bublé recently joined Ryan Reynolds in publicly championing Minerva's, the family-owned Greek restaurant in Kerrisdale that has anchored the neighbourhood since 1975.
After a visit to the restaurant, Bublé shared photos on Instagram and admitted he was "late to the party." "Gotta thank my bro @vancityreynolds for the recommendation. Minerva's is something special. Huge thanks to Nondas and crew for the incredible food and hospitality."
Reynolds had revealed during a 2022 Netflix interview promoting The Adam Project that Minerva's was his favourite restaurant in the world. The connection between the two goes beyond the recommendation: Minerva's serves Aviation Gin, the spirit brand Reynolds helped popularize, and displays a bottle signed by the actor.
Now Bublé, a Vancouver native, has added his own voice to the chorus. Earlier this summer, Georgia Straight readers voted Minerva's the best restaurant in Kerrisdale in the 2026 Golden Plates Awards—a testament to the restaurant's reputation built on decades of consistent Greek cooking, pizzas, steaks, and pasta served to both locals and, increasingly, celebrities passing through town.
