Pepino's Spaghetti House is taking over the sidewalk on Commercial Drive this Sunday for Italian Day.

Starting at 11 a.m., the house that spaghetti built will sling porchetta sandwiches with green peppercorn aioli, meatball sliders with whipped ricotta and local arugula, Detroit-style pizza by the slice, and boozy blood orange, Aperol, and Campari Americano popsicles. A takeout window setup—"only until the food runs out," they say, so get there early.

Pepino's will have merch on hand, complimentary mouse tattoos for kids, and a lottery-style giveaway for anyone who stops by in person. First prize: a limited-edition Pepino's tote filled with $150 worth of swag. The pop-up runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., but if you want dinner inside the restaurant—the spaghetti house formerly known as Nick's, one of Little Italy's most iconic institutions—book a table now. It's saucy, it's a celebration of Italian immigrant culture on the Drive, and it's one day only.
