Keanu Reeves brings Dogstar to Vogue Theatre on September 16

Keanu Reeves is coming to Vancouver this September not for a film set but to perform with Dogstar, his band, at the Vogue Theatre on Wednesday, September 16 at 7:30 p.m.

Dogstar is touring in support of All In Now, the band's latest album released this spring. Reeves, who serves as bassist and backup vocalist, formed the group with fellow actor and musician Robert Mailhouse after they met at a grocery store and became friends.

The band released two albums during their original run — Our Little Visionary in 1996 and Happy Ending in 2000 — before splitting up in 2002. They reunited in 2023 at the BottleRock festival in California and have since launched the touring cycle.

"North America! We're so excited for our upcoming tour that we're adding more dates," Dogstar said in a social media post, confirming the Vancouver date as part of expansion.

The Toronto-raised Reeves is known for his extensive film career, most recently the Matrix and John Wick franchises. In 2024, he signed a one-day contract with the OHL's Windsor Spitfires, fulfilling a childhood dream of being an OHL goalie, and autographed memorabilia that was auctioned off with 100 per cent of proceeds benefiting the Canadian Mental Health Association in Windsor.

Tickets for the Vancouver show are available online at various prices. It's been a busy concert season in the city — Beck, The Strokes, Weezer, Shaboozey, and Olivia Rodrigo are also performing in Vancouver later this year.
