Chilliwack man, 86, sentenced to life for killing neighbours

An 86-year-old Chilliwack man has been sentenced to life in prison for shooting his two neighbours, John Kavaloff and Valerie Smith, on September 13, 2023, in the Chilliwack River Valley. Freeman was sentenced on May 15 with no eligibility for parole for 10 years.
