The Mary Hill Bypass between Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam will see nightly lane closures starting Monday, July 6, for geotechnical work that the B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Transit says is needed for corridor planning.
Lanes will be closed from the United Boulevard on- and off-ramp through the intersection of Shaughnessy and Argue streets from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., Monday through Thursday, until August 17. One travel lane will remain open in each direction during closures. General commercial traffic of three metres or less can still travel the route, though oversized loads will need special permits or alternative routes.
The Ministry is also warning of increased noise at the intersection of Shaughnessy and Argue as crews perform nighttime geotechnical investigations and drilling. No lane closures are planned during weekends. Drivers can check DriveBC for real-time traffic updates.
