A serious-injury collision on Ladner Trunk Road in Delta left a 26-year-old motorbike driver in critical condition Saturday afternoon.
Delta police responded to the crash at approximately 5 p.m. in the 10400 block of Ladner Trunk Road. An electric motorbike was traveling southbound when it was struck by a vehicle. The driver was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition.
Alcohol and speed have not been ruled out as contributing factors. The collision remains under investigation.
Ladner Trunk Road was closed in both directions while police conducted their investigation. The closure disrupted traffic in the area; drivers were encouraged to use Highway 99 as an alternate route.
