A motorcyclist died following a collision with a passenger vehicle in Richmond on Tuesday, September 1, at approximately 4:43 p.m. at the intersection of No. 1 Road and Lockhart Road.
The rider was taken to hospital where they later died from injuries sustained in the crash. Richmond RCMP's Serious Crime Unit is leading the investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward. The critical window for potential video evidence is between 4:15 p.m. and 4:50 p.m. on September 1. "Investigators are working to establish the circumstances surrounding this collision and are asking anyone with information or video footage to come forward," said Cpl. Melissa Lui, media relations officer for Richmond RCMP.
