Maple Ridge RCMP have charged a registered massage therapist with sexually assaulting a teenager during a clinic session, and are urging anyone with information to contact police.

Police were contacted in February about the alleged assault that occurred at a massage therapy clinic in Maple Ridge in December 2025. Following an investigation, officers arrested a male suspect. Christian Aquilizan, 39, of Vancouver, has been charged with two counts of sexual assault. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 8.

"While the investigation is ongoing, police believe that there may be other people within the community who have information that could advance the investigation who have not yet come forward," an RCMP spokesperson said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Maple Ridge RCMP at 604-463-6251 and reference file #2026-3042.
