White Rock is throwing open the gates to its newly upgraded outdoor fitness space at Centennial Park on Wednesday, June 3, at 1:30 p.m.

The city has relocated existing exercise stations from Generations Playground to a new, expanded area at the southwest corner of the Centennial running oval. The upgraded space now includes five repurposed stations along with three new Outdoor Fit Exercise Systems, creating an inclusive environment for residents of all ages and abilities.

White Rock city council members and representatives from the White Rock Firefighters Charity Association and the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation will be in attendance for the official opening.

Following the ribbon-cutting, the community is invited to participate in a guided, all-levels circuit training class from 2 to 2:30 p.m. The session will introduce participants to the new equipment through a simple circuit format designed to work for all fitness levels, whether you're just starting out or already active.

Those interested in attending the circuit training can register online through the City of White Rock's booking system. It's a chance to see what's new in the park and get a feel for the equipment with expert guidance in a low-pressure setting.
