Fatal crash closes Lougheed Highway in Maple Ridge

A fatal motor vehicle incident near Lougheed Highway and 287 Street on Saturday evening left westbound traffic blocked; two patients were transported to hospital in stable condition.

A fatal motor vehicle crash closed westbound Lougheed Highway in Maple Ridge Saturday evening, June 13, around 8:40 p.m. The collision occurred near the intersection of Lougheed Highway and 287 Street.

BC Emergency Health Services responded with one ambulance and transported two patients to hospital in stable condition. Maple Ridge RCMP officers remained on scene investigating the incident but provided no additional details at the time of reporting.

Westbound traffic on Lougheed Highway between 287 Street and Hayward Street was closed. Police urged drivers to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
