TransLink fares are rising on Canada Day, July 1, 2026, marking another annual hike for Metro Vancouver transit users.

Single-trip fares paid in cash will increase by 10 to 25 cents for adults and five to 10 cents for concession riders. A one-zone adult monthly pass will rise to $117.20 from $111.60. Compass Card's stored-value single-trip fares will jump by 15 to 30 cents for adults and five to 10 cents for concession.

The increase averages 5% across the system. Between 2021 and 2024, fare hikes were capped at 2.3% on average; that agreement expired at the end of 2024.

The YVR AddFare is also seeing its first increase since the charge was introduced in 2010. It will rise 30% — from $5 to $6.50 — starting July 1. The AddFare applies only to single-trip fares and does not affect monthly pass, day pass, pre-purchased fares, U-Pass, BC Bus Pass, or CNIB pass holders.

TransLink recorded a new six-year ridership high on Wednesday, June 24, with 1.38 million total boardings — the highest daily count since March 2020.
