The CEO of Westbank Corp., a top Vancouver developer, has been accused of skipping a scheduled deposition in a court case to attend World Cup celebrations in the city.
According to court filings, the executive chose to spend time "hobnobbing with the rich and powerful" while the FIFA World Cup was taking place in Vancouver, rather than appear for the required legal proceeding.
